Let's BOOST your Child's Development!
La Ronge Ninja Kids
La Ronge Ninja Kids Martial Arts® blends Junan Taiso (Japanese Yoga), Karate, and Jujutsu into a program full of Play & Exploration, movement, problem solving, fun, and self defence. Our training targets the stages of development of kids ages 3 to 14 years old, and focus on enhancing your child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual abilities.
La Ronge Ninja Kids Martial Arts® is all about encouragement and training self-esteem, self-worth, focus & attention, and physical and mental development. Children with Special Needs are welcome to join, especially children with orthopaedic conditions that make other team sports too challenging to do.

About Ninja Kids Martial Arts®
La Ronge Ninja Kids Martial Arts® was started in 2014 after Chris had received several requests from parents about teaching martial arts to younger children. This resulted in the creation of La Ronge Ninja Kids in 2014, and has evolved into Ninja Kids Martial Arts® in 2016. Registration is currently available for the 2022-2023 school year.
Children only need a regular martial arts uniform for the ninja kids classes. When some of the advanced students also want to join our other martial arts programs, additional tools might be needed.
La Ronge Ninja Kids® is recognized as a SKILLZ Martial Arts® in North America. The program is also recognized by the Saskatchewan Martial Arts Association.
KIDS SPORTS can be accessed to pay for training fees in certain conditions. Please contact us for more information.

Iaido for Youth 8+
Iaido is a new program using the Japanese sword (wooden) and sheath. Many children in Japan practice this. It is a mindful activity that is done alone. In addition, elements of kenjutsu (sword fencing) are included as “lightsaber” activities. For Iai and Kenjutsu, children attend class on Friday and will need to purchase a wooden sword and sheath through the instructor.
Very old Traditions
This program was carefully constructed by the head instructor Dr. Chris de Feijter to target the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the children in each program. Each child gets individualized goals and yet works together with all the other students in the same group.
The program blends karate-do and jujutsu into an exciting and engaging activity sequence.
Probably, yes, but let's talk first!
As a general rule, martial arts do not make children more aggressive. Children actually learn valuable self-regulation skills and breathing techniques which result in a calmer and more even-keeled attitude. Now that being said, not all martial arts are the same.
